• Our chickens are free-range; they walk around the pastures and the yard to forage and enjoy fresh air and sunshine. At night they roost safely and securely in their chicken coops.
  • Our chickens are fed “Layena”. This feed is natural and plant-based. This feed is free from all animal proteins and fats.
  • Farm Fresh eggs have bright yellow, firm yolks and less air in the egg because they are so fresh. Older eggs have pale yolks which are flat. The older the egg, the larger the air pocket inside the egg.
  • Brown eggs are laid by our Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Barred Rocks.
  • White eggs are laid by our Leghorns.
  • Brown eggs and white eggs have the same nutritional value; the only difference is the shell color.
  • Hens will lay eggs without a rooster. A rooster is only required if an egg is to be fertilized, incubated, and hatched.
  • You will not see a difference between a fertilized and an unfertilized egg. The hen must sit on a fertilized egg in order for it to incubate and hatch.
